Syria: Terrorists Blow Up Oil Pipeline In Eastern Syria.

Armed groups in Syria have blown up a section of an oil pipeline in the eastern province of Deir al-Zour.
The pipeline, which is located near the provincial capital city of Deir al-Zour, was targeted on Sunday. No casualties were reported.

Over the past few months, armed gangs have several times targeted pipelines in Syria. Similar attacks were also carried out in Deir al-Zour in May and March. A section of a gas pipeline in the central province of Homs near the Lebanese border was also targeted in January.
The attack was carried out two days after the UK newspaper Guardian said in a June 22 report that the Saudi regime will pay the armed rebels inside Syria to encourage “mass defections from the military and… pressure” the Damascus government.

On June 3, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said the country is “facing a war from abroad,” and that attempts are being made to “weaken Syria, [and] breach its sovereignty.”
